Soho house Mumbai opening

With great pleasure and consistent dedication we worked for 1,5 years together with the in-house design team of Soho House London to design, gather, detail and coordinate all the items of Furniture, Fixtures and equipment (FF&E) for this Juhu beach based private Club.  The ten story building houses 38 rooms, various restaurants, a health club, a spa, a gym, a theater, a bar and reception. The final result at the grand opening in November 2018 was magnificent.

New French School

LMC Architects has been appointed by Ecole Francaise de Bombay to design their new school, coming up in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The school will span over 6 floors, with outdoor spaces on the ground and first floor and sports facilities, including a swimming pool on the roof top. The design will be driven by our mutual quest for durability, good air quality, landscaping and acoustical performances to ensure the best surrounding for teaching and learning. Construction of the building started in October 2018.

Naval Tata Hockey Academy

LMC Architects has been appointed to design the master plan and architectural design for a new state of the art, hockey academy in Jamshedpur. The client, Tata Steel envisions to house and train 52 boys cadet in the first phase of 40,000 sqft which is spread over the ground and first floor. In the second phase 52 girls cadets will be housed on the additional 20,000 sqft second floor. The academic spaces on the ground floor will be designed for the total of 104 cadets.

Rotterdam Monumental Residence

This monumental residence is Rotterdam requires a large renovation and the owners would like to expand the 3 story building with a new basement, which will extend behind the house to provide a large terrace for the dining area. Renovation is required to insulate the monumental facades, the renovate the bathrooms and kitchens upto modern standards and designs as well as provide a large open living area on the top floor, which is connected to a large balcony overlooking the inner gardens of the residential block.

Anniversary of LMC Mumbai & Opening of LMC Amsterdam

We thanked all our clients, partners and mentors for all their trust, support and positive words in the last 9 years and we are looking forward to another 9 years to create together. We also celebrated the opening of our Amsterdam office, where we have started designing projects as well.

Corporate head office

By creating a long internal green balcony along the large facade of the office we provided breathing space to the MD's cabin, the secretariat, a meeting room and the open office. In this way, the entire office would benefit from this green filter hiding the close by other office building.  we aimed to create timeless spaces, with warmth and elegance. Various meeting rooms with different character and seating along with separated waiting area with low seating enhance the regular open office and cabins.

Completion of Double Urban Residence

This four bedroom apartment with a large living area aims to provide a hideaway from the hectic city life. The spacious living room has two sliding doors which provide possibilities to separate the dining or the TV den from the rest of the living area. Meeting Dutch Prime Minister and presentation to trade delegation

On June 6th, 2015, the Dutch prime minister, Mark Rutte visited India with a trade delegation of 100 Dutch companies. As a Dutch entrepreneur, Lara de Rooij was requested to be part of a breakfast meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss the opportunities and challenges for Dutch businesses in India. Afterwards, Lara de Rooij gave a presentation to the entire delegation as well as the members of the Indian Netherlands Business Association (INBA) about her experiences with running a Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in Mumbai.
