Khazana Store

Khazana Stores, the high-end chain of boutiques for the Taj family of hotels, needed a renovation and redesign that would cause as little commercial disturbance as possible in its execution. By combining rich, decorative wallpaper and antique paneling patterns, with simple, modern lines, we create a classical atmosphere with a contemporary finish.

By combining rich, decorative wallpaper and antique paneling patterns, with simple, modern lines, we create a classical atmosphere with a contemporary finish.

The cashier counter has integrated light behind horizontal wooden paneling which folds around the corners of the counter.

Moveable display boxes were custom made off site and installed on site in minimum time. The walnut veneers combined with PU high gloss white paint are an example of our aim to provide a classical atmosphere with a contemporary finish.

Additional Jewelry cabinets and a display counter were custom made to enhance this section of the store.

Display units in minimal, functional forms are made from elegant materials, adding to the richness of the products. A mural was designed to highlight the store’s entrance by combining the richness of Radjastani tiles decorated with a hand cut modern pattern.

Capturing the old and the new, the opulent and simple, we aimed to create a microcosm of the Taj experience.
