Housed in a stunning 11-story townhouse, SOHO House, Mumbai offers an exclusive member’s-only experience that blends contemporary design with the rich tapestry of Indian Culture. We were privileged to work closely with SOHO House London’s expert design team to meticulously curate, design and project manage every aspect of their FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipments) A detailed look at the design elements of Cecconi's and its recent expansion at Soho House Mumbai.
The extension of Cecconi’s seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Sliding glass panels, framed by lush green landscapes planters, can be opened to transform the area into an alfresco dining experience or closed to create a fully enclosed, climate-controlled space. The original wooden trellis on the ceiling adds a touch of rustic charm, while the exterior columns, clad in rattan, visually extend the interior design.
The flooring remains unchanged, maintaining a sense of continuity. The exterior walls, adorned with captivating paintings, echo the rattan paneling found within the restaurant. The flexible design allows for both intimate, private dining and expansive, open-air gatherings.
The restaurant is a sophisticated blend of contemporary design and traditional Indian aesthetics. Warm timber and rattan paneling create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, while antique Indian handmade brass lights add a touch of rustic elegance. The L-Shaped marble bar, a striking centerpiece, is complemented by a seating area adorned with luxurious leather banquettes and exquisite Indian cut-glass lights. The overall color palette, a harmonious fusion of calming greens and soothing blues, evokes a sense of tranquility and sophistication.
With views across Juhu Beach and the Arabian Sea, the two event spaces at Cecconi’s Mumbai are suited to all types of gatherings, including private dining, drinks receptions, parties, and celebrations.
