House by the lake is a ground floor villa in the traditional “waterlander” style, perfectly suited for two senior citizens seeking a peaceful and comfortable living space. The villa seamlessly integrates with the local village, incorporating the same characteristics as the existing barn located in the center of the plot, which served as the inspiration for our design. The dining area and living lounge are adjacent to the terrace, which faces the warmer South West side of the house, ensuring maximum exposure to natural light. This stunning view overlooks the large lake next to the villa, offering a tranquil and serene living space for our clients.

The thoughtful selection of a red and blue color scheme imparts a distinct and captivating character to the barn-inspired villa. a roof detailed by white borders add a touch of elegance.

The T-shaped villa is strategically located to envelop and embrace the existing barn on two sides, creating a harmonious and functional living space. The most important area of the house for our clients is the open live-in kitchen, which is located at the center of the T-shaped plan. From this area, the kitchen expands on one side to the living lounge and on the other side to the formal dining space.

The two bedrooms are located at the far arms of the T, offering complete privacy and each with its own luxurious bathroom. The rear side of the villa features a more modern design approach, with large, minimalistic openings that allow ample sunlight to enter the house while providing stunning views of the nearby lake.
